Hand crafted Heritage
2024 - THE SPHERE ENTERTAINMENT | Las Vegas, Nevada
In 2025, Josue Ibañez Studio reimagined Hispanic Heritage Month through digital art content at The Sphere. Rooted in the concept of "Handcrafted Heritage," this immersive work celebrated the craftsmanship, traditions, and deep cultural roots of the Hispanic world, bringing history and artistry to life on a monumental scale.
With the creative intent of expressing the interconnection of the Hispanic world, the project explored how traditions, stories, and artistic expressions weave together across diverse cultures. Extensive research on symbolism from different Hispanic regions informed every visual detail, ensuring that colors, patterns, and imagery resonated with the ancestral knowledge and collective identity of the community.
The installation unfolded across three distinct worlds, each representing an essential facet of Hispanic identity:
The World of the Mural – A visual tribute to the profound connection between Hispanics and their places of origin, capturing landscapes, cultural icons, and the ancestral ties that shape identity.
The World of Papel Picado – A vibrant celebration of people and community, inspired by the intricate patterns of papel picado. This world honored the shared traditions and collective spirit that unite Hispanic cultures across generations.
The World of the Telar – A woven representation of Hispanic heritage and its deep connection to nature. Inspired by textile traditions, this world blended organic elements—plants, animals, and landscapes—symbolizing the harmony between culture and the environment.
Through a fusion of tradition, storytelling, and digital innovation, Handcrafted Heritage transformed The Sphere into a breathtaking canvas of identity, inviting audiences to experience Hispanic culture.
